Part Time CRM/Email Marketing Executive

To develop and run ongoing email campaigns targeting UK IT companies with a view to creating new business opportunities re the supply of experienced technical and sales staff.

Role Overview

The role will work exclusively within our CRM system, sending curated candidate profiles (send outs/floats) to current, past, and potential clients. Each send out will consist of a short agency introduction – covering our background, niche, and value proposition – followed by candidate profile(s). The person will be responsible for the quality, timing, and ongoing refinement of these communications, as well as building and maintaining the email templates that underpin them. This includes creating reusable layouts for different send out types and iterating on those templates based on performance.

Recommended Qualifications & Experience

  • Email marketing experience — at least 1–2 years working with email as a direct marketing channel, whether in-house or agency-side. They should understand how emails are built and sent, not just written.
  • Copywriting ability — strong, clear written communication is the core of this role. Ideally with a B2B background, where the tone is professional but not stiff.
  • Email template creation — experience building emails and designing templates within a CRM or email platform, including structuring layouts, formatting for readability, and ensuring consistency across communications. They should be able to create templates from scratch as well as adapt existing ones.
  • CRM/ATS or email platform familiarity — experience with at least one CRM or email platform (e.g. HubSpot, Mailchimp, Salesforce, Bullhorn, or similar). They don't need to know our specific system on day one, but they must be comfortable learning one quickly.
  • Understanding of email performance metrics — they should know what open rate, click-through rate, and reply rate mean, and have some awareness of how to influence them.
  • Attention to detail — send outs go directly to our contacts. Errors reflect on the agency.

Mindset

Beyond hard skills, we're looking for someone with genuine curiosity about marketing. This is a tactical role, but there is real scope to experiment — with subject lines, the structure of the agency introduction, send timing, candidate profile formatting, integrations, reporting, and more. The ideal candidate will be someone who naturally asks "what happens if we try it this way?" rather than someone content to repeat the same approach indefinitely.
