Business Analyst (SHEQ)

Contract Length: 12-months

Location: Remote (Occasional travel when F2F meetings are needed)

Day Rate: £700 Inside IR35

Start Date: ASAP

We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a major acquisition programme, helping to integrate systems, processes, and operations across two organisations. You’ll act as a key bridge between stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to ensure the programme delivers its intended business outcomes. If you’ve worked on large-scale business change, acquisitions, or systems transformation projects, this is a great opportunity to play a central role in a high-impact integration.

Key Experience Needed

Proven background working as a Business Analyst on acquisition, merger, or large-scale transformation programmes (desirable, not essential)
Experience working closely with IT / systems teams
Strong understanding of business process mapping and change impact assessment
Comfortable engaging stakeholders across a range of business support functions (e.g., H&S / SHEQ, Marketing, Procurement, Legal, Property & Fleet)
Skilled in requirements gathering, documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
Excellent communication, workshop facilitation, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities

Analyse and document current and future-state business processes across both organisations
Conduct gap analysis and assess the impact of change resulting from the acquisition
Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Collaborate with technical teams and external partners to ensure solutions align with business requirements
Support integration planning across systems, data flows, and operational processes
Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to validate requirements and proposed solutions
Support system testing, UAT, and training activities to ensure readiness for go-live
Contribute to project planning and progress tracking to ensure alignment with programme timelines
