Role purpose / summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP UX Lead to join a high-profile UK Government transformation programme.
In this role you will take ownership of the end-to-end user experience strategy across SAP Fiori and related UI frameworks, ensuring that all digital touchpoints meet the Government's accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.2 AA compliance and GDS (Government Digital Service) design principles. You will collaborate closely with solution architects, business analysts, and end-user communities to define UX patterns, build reusable component libraries, and govern UI consistency across a large-scale SAP S/4HANA landscape.
A background in SAP Fiori Elements, SAPUI5, and Fiori Launchpad configuration is essential, alongside demonstrable experience leading design and accessibility audits within complex public-sector or regulated environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate complex business requirements into intuitive, accessible digital experiences for a diverse workforce. You will mentor junior UX designers and UI developers, champion inclusive design thinking throughout the project lifecycle, and liaise with technical teams to ensure Fiori apps are performant, responsive, and compliant.
This position is based within a UK Government programme and therefore requires candidates to hold or be eligible to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance as a minimum. Active SC clearance is strongly preferred. All candidates must have the right to work in the UK and be prepared to undergo the necessary pre-employment vetting process.
