Server Engineer

Role Title: Server Engineer

Duration: contract to run until 03/07/2026

Location: Crewe, Hybrid 3 days per week onsite

Rate: up to £349.60 p/d Umbrella inside IR35

Key Skills/ requirements

• Use of Hyper-V with client's standard build processes
• Good experience and understanding of Windows Clustering
• Good experience in configuring Network Load Balancers
• Knowledge if CIS hardening implemented using GPO
• Knowledge Active Directory and Certificate Authority
• Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to ensure seamless operations
• Automate server provisioning and configuration using tools like PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions including BMR
• Monitor server performance and availability using tools like Nagios, SolarWinds, or equivalent client tool
• Maintain documentation for systems architecture, processes, and procedures
• Storage Knowledge advantageous
• Status reporting to senior stakeholders
