Location: Cambridge 

Type: Full-Time (on site - flexible hours)

Salary: circa £40k

Our client designs and manufactures hardware and software principally for use by researchers world-wide in the field of neuroscience, pharmacology and engineering.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Software Engineer with a background in C++ in a Windows environment using MFC and stl.

You will be part of a small team of programmers producing and enhancing Windows applications for use in scientific research. This is an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and managing projects in a fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities and tasks: 

·       Producing and maintaining Windows based applications 

·       Provide support for customers using their software 

·       Liaise with third party companies in order to interface the software with their hardware.

·       Liaise with third party companies in order to import their files into our client's software.

·       Working with the sales team to identify which direction to take the software development and which new features to prioritise.

Required Qualifications & Experience: 

·       At least 2 years experience in C++ using MFC and stl.

·       BEng/BSc in Computer science 

Desirable Skills: 

·       Knowledge of the field of neuroscience. 

·       Experience in embedded systems programming particularly with ARM architecture.

·       Experience with Matlab

·       Knowledge of Python
