Lead Software Developer

SC Clearance - Python - NHS

£600-650 per day, Outside IR35

Initial 6 Month Contract (likely 12 month extension)

Fully Remote (Must be UK based)

We're supporting a leading UK Consultancy who are building a project team to deliver a high-profile program of work in the Healthcare sector.

This role would suit a Senior / Lead Software Developer with strong Python experience, and some experience working on NHS / Healthcare projects.

You must hold Active Security Clearance!

Skills required:

-experience working with APIs and large datasets

-NHS experience

-experience leading a technical team

-feature development and implementation

-technical architecture and design

-quality and assurance and standard setting for the wider development team

-collaboration and stakeholder engagement

-experience with the tech stack listed below (in the final section)

Tech stack: Main priority Python/API/AWS/Azure/Healthcare

Backend:

Python 3.13: Some of the libaries being used (pytest, uv for dependency management, ruff for linting and formatting, mypy for type checking)

It's AWS serverless design with API gateway, lambdas and SQS

Nice to have (not essential):

C#, .NET

Hosting using , Kubernetes and Azure

Vue.js: webviews in a native app wrapper for the frontend
