Head of SAP Technical Services Field Based Salary range between £90,000 and £100,000 per annum, car/car allowance, plus 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), pension, bonus, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits including cycle to work scheme About the Role As the Head of SAP Technical Services, you will provide leadership for the technical architecture, development, systems integration, and infrastructure operations of the SAP practice. You will be a technical visionary who demystifies complex architectures and confidently presents our technical prowess, ‘Clean Core’ strategies, and innovation roadmap to client IT leadership. As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:
- Lead a team of Technical Architects to ensure designs leverage the most appropriate, cutting-edge SAP technologies.
- Manage the development lifecycle—spanning ABAP, Fiori, Java, and BTP/Cloud teams—ensuring strictly enforced Clean Core coding standards.
- Oversee complex data migration strategies and manage Integration Architects utilising SAP Integration Suite / CPI for connectivity.
- Lead our Basis and Security teams, overseeing system installations, permission frameworks, and cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Host technical webinars and participate in expert panel discussions to champion our innovation roadmap.
- Present robust technical architectures, security frameworks, and migration roadmaps to Enterprise Architects and CIOs of prospective customers.
- Extensive technical experience in the SAP ecosystem, with a proven track record of technical leadership or management capacity.
- Comprehensive, practical experience enforcing SAP's Clean Core strategy using SAP BTP, Fiori, and modern ABAP.
- A robust background in SAP Basis operations, security design, cloud hosting infrastructure, and integration middlewares like SAP Integration Suite / CPI.
- The ability to travel nationally and internationally
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to navigate both technical jargon with engineering teams and high-level strategy with non-technical senior stakeholders.
