Digital Content Executive
Unite Students have a fantastic opportunity for a Digital Content Executive to join our highly regarded Marketing team.
The role will support the Digital Content Manager in managing and optimising website content through our content management system (CMS). This includes publishing and maintaining product and marketing content that enhances the customer journey, supports SEO visibility, and drives conversions. The role combines strong CMS capability with an eye for engaging design, copy and user experience, ensuring content works effectively across website, app, and other digital channels.
What you`ll be doing
- Manage day-to-day website content via the CMS, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines.
- Create, edit and publish content (copy, imagery, video, SEO metadata) that supports both brand and marketing campaigns.
- Ensure content is optimised for usability, accessibility, SEO and conversion rate performance (CRO).
- Work with stakeholders across Marketing and external agencies to plan and deliver new content and enhancements.
- Support A/B and multivariate testing programmes to improve website performance.
- Apply a keen eye for detail to ensure content is published in a visually appealing and user-friendly way.
- Contribute to the creation of engaging digital assets and copywriting in line with our tone of voice and messaging hierarchy, including managing our student blog.
- Monitor and report on content performance, identifying opportunities for optimisation and innovation.
- Ensure content can be effectively repurposed for other channels including app, social, and email.
- Stay up to date with digital content trends, SEO best practice (including emerging AI search channels) and evolving CMS functionality to recommend improvements to our Product Development teams.
What we`re looking for in you
- Strong experience working with content management systems (we use Contentful), with the ability to manage large-scale content updates.
- Understanding of SEO principles and how to apply them to on-page content.
- Awareness of CRO and UX best practices to improve website performance. Bonus if you`ve ran A/B tests or used an A/B testing platform before.
- Ability to edit and structure HTML content within a CMS (basic coding knowledge desirable).
- Experience creating and curating engaging digital content (copy, imagery, video, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and project management skills.
- Collaborative team player who can manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
- Analytical mindset, confident using data and metrics to improve content effectiveness.
- A proactive, curious, and creative approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
