Job summary
We have a wide Procurement team at United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals, comprising a Clinical Procurement Team & Clinical Procurement Specialist Team, Non-Clinical Procurement Team, Operational Procurement Team, Capital, Estates & Facilities Procurement Team and the Supply Chain/Materials Management Team. We have a newly created Inventory Management System Team which reside under Deputy Head of Supply Chain and works alongside the Supply Chain Team. We are seeking to appoint the IMS Catalogue System Manager to work as part of this newly formed team and to assist the procurement vision to deliver state of the art Inventory Management and Catalogue Systems. The IMS Catalogue System Manager will play an active role in supporting the management and delivery of the new Inventory Management System (IMS) project in support of the Trust's business and service objectives.
Responsibilities to Support the IMS Project by managing the new Catalogue solution which includes but is not limited to: -
Creating/Deleting user profiles, managing contract and product changes in the system and managing reports
Managing reports for their contribution to business decisions
Managing contract and product changes in the system
Managing the Trust-Supplier relationship on behalf of the Organisation
This role will require operational working at all Trust sites.
Main duties of the job
We are searching for a hard working individual who is looking for an exciting new challenge and wants to be part of the new Inventory Management System and Catalogue Solution at ULTH.
You will support the Deputy Head of Supply Chain and the IMS Business Change Managers by managing the Catalogue Solution and maintaining information flow from fellow clinical, non-clinical and operational procurement teams. You will also working closely with the IMS Inventory System Manager to ensure system integration is at maximum efficiency at all times.
The scope of operational work managed by this team is significant - encompassing the full roll out and maintenance of an inventory management system and catalogue system across ULTH. The department already maintains the highest standards of stock management across all areas of the hospital from Theatres to A&E and beyond but is looking to revolutionise current methodologies to transform the control and flow of consumables entering and leaving the hospitals. This newly created team will lead the support for internal stakeholders by managing the inventory system, the e-catalogue and enacting meaningful operational and strategic change by generating ideas for savings and service improvement for patients, whilst ensuring we meet the Trust values and standards.

This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire. Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).

Qualifications
- General Education up to GCSE/A Level/Diploma or equivalent NVQ level (including Maths and English) or equivalent standard.
- Educated to Degree Level or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of ongoing personal and management development
- Qualification in Project Management such as PRINCE2 Foundation Qualification
- Corporate membership of relevant Professional Body
- Extensive knowledge and experience of delivering and maintaining data systems
Previous Experience
- Experience of handling personal / confidential information in accordance with Data Protection Act.
- Working knowledge of procurement and performance management of contracts.
- Experience of effective team working and stakeholder relationship management.
- Experience of developing effective systems for efficient and effective administration.
- Maintaining accurate records using configuration management.
