This vacancy is for a two-year fixed term post for a member of the ULTH Applications Services team, with a specific focus on supporting the implementation of NerveCentre Electronic Patient Record (EPR).

We are delighted to share that we have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, patient-centred System Specialist to join our Application Services team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will need to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues within the Digital Services Department, particularly in working as part of the EPR programme team to support the delivery of the EPR as part of our Digital Strategy. The post holder will act as technical subject matter expert, using their skills, knowledge and experience of clinical systems to help guide and configure functionality within the EPR. The post holder will communicate regularly with staff within all Lincolnshire NHS organisations and with external suppliers.

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (ULTH) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.
This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire. Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).

Examples of duties and responsibilities
Undertake technical configuration tasks within the Nervecentre EPR platform
Provide second and third line support to all staff across all sites with regards to the EPR implementation
Participate in meetings with clinical and workstream SME's to understand current and new ways of working, and how to design and implement technical changes in the EPR based on new ways of working.
Assist in developing and sharing knowledge across the Application Services team by developing training plans, documentation and demonstrations on areas of responsibility within your EPR workstream.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Degree level qualification or equivalent in a computing related field
- Evidence of on-going personal, technical and management development
- Membership of appropriate professional organisation, e.g. BCS.
- Vocational accreditation, e.g. MCSE
- ITIL qualification
Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude
- Good written communication skills
- Knowledge of clinical systems in use within the NHS
- Experience of writing and reviewing technical specifications
- Knowledge of SQL server
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system
- Intersystems Healthshare knowledge
- Knowledge of HL7
- Unix system administration
- Experience of Object Orientated Programming (OOP)
- Experience of SQL Business Intelligence
Previous Experience
- Highly Experienced in working in an IT service department on support and/or development with some of this at System Manager level
- Experience of interfacing computer systems
- Experience of programming and script writing
- Experience of Microsoft Server applications, such as Active Directory
- Experience of effective team working.
- Development and delivery of training plans
- Project management skills
