Job summary
The Information Services Department at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust are looking for a highly motivated information professional to lead in the development and provision of information to support the Trust's business objectives. This role will lead Urgent and Emergency Care analytical support for the Operational and Clinical Divisions supporting them directly with information, analyses and other business support.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for the production, development and promotion of a range of informed data with analysis to support the development of planning, performance and monitoring of delivery programmes across Urgent & Emergence Care in LCHG. You will provide specialist advice and guidance on UEC performance information and on specialist analyses of a broad range of health related data sets. You will also work with system and regional colleagues as part of regular UEC reporting and monitoring. This includes 4 hour performance and SDEC activity flows.

You will have excellent analytical and presentational skills, must possess A-level qualifications or higher, or equivalent experience. You will also be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office packages and have a strong commitment to achieving results. Experience of SQL is desirable. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritise a heavy workload to work effectively under pressure in order to meet the increasing timetable of deliverables. As part of a dedicated team there will be the need not only to be a team player but have the ability to work on your own initiative. Applicants will also be expected to show evidence of ongoing professional and managerial development.

Qualifications
- Educated to Masters degree or equivalent, or equivalent experience
- Evidence of ongoing personal and management development
Previous Experience
- Experience working within an NHS information or analysis role
- Experience of system working with ICB or regional colleagues
- Detailed analysis & validation of various types of healthcare data
- Experienced detailed knowledge of relevant NHS information processes (e.g. PbR, SUS)
- Understanding of data analysis querying tools such as PowerBI
Evidence of particular knowledge & skills
- Ability to analyse, interpret and present highly complex information from large data sets
- Very high level of computer literacy & technical competence including MS Excel, SQL, SSRS & PowerBI
- Experience of using a wide range of different data to assess the performance of complex organisations.
- Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
- Ability to deal effectively with a range of queries from Directors, Managers, Information Leads and clinical staff.
