Product & Solutions Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Owner to lead the strategy, development, and continuous improvement of our Monitoring & Control (M&C) Systems and Alarms, including core platforms like Schneider GeoSCADA and AVEVA Pi.

In this pivotal role, you’ll represent Operations, owning the Alarm Strategy and driving innovation as we evolve toward more intelligent, responsive systems. You’ll define a clear product vision, build and maintain a strategic roadmap, and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to deliver impactful solutions that enhance performance and resilience.

You’ll be the voice of our colleagues, championing user needs and ensuring our systems meet the demands of a dynamic operational environment. From governance and stakeholder engagement to execution and performance analysis, you’ll be at the heart of our digital transformation journey.

Key Accountabilities

  • Product Ownership & Strategy: Shape and communicate a compelling product vision aligned with business goals, colleague insights, and market trends. Drive innovation to enhance system capabilities and user experience.
  • Roadmap Leadership: Build and maintain a strategic product roadmap, prioritising features that deliver maximum value. Ensure alignment and buy-in from stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Act as the link between technical and operational teams, translating needs into actionable outcomes.
  • Customer-Centric Development: Champion the voice of colleagues throughout the product lifecycle. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimise system performance and user satisfaction.
  • Execution & Delivery: Oversee the delivery of product initiatives, managing risks, dependencies, and timelines. Lead testing coordination and sign-off to ensure robust implementation.
  • Performance & Governance: Define and monitor KPIs to measure product success. Govern system access and licensing, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Alarm Strategy & Governance: Own and evolve the Alarm Management Strategy, driving best practice in design and operation. Lead governance forums and ensure adherence to policies and standards.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in owning and driving product strategy, with a strong sense of accountability for performance, innovation, and delivery.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence to support travel requirements.
  • Degree level education or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of monitoring and control systems, including Schneider GeoSCADA, AVEVA Pi, and SCADA, with the ability to quickly understand other IT/OT systems.
  • Expertise in alarm and alert management, including best practice in visualisation and turning insights into action.
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into clear product requirements, ensuring solutions deliver real operational value.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across a matrixed organisation.
  • Solid understanding of the digital technologies and data flows that underpin monitoring and control solutions.
  • Confident decision-maker with a proactive approach to product ownership and leadership.
