About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned contractor to stabilise and enhance the way their Legacy NATS messaging system integrates with Kubernetes. The business has transitioned core applications into Kubernetes, but ongoing issues exist with the integration and performance of NATS within this environment. The successful contractor will bring deep expertise in both technologies to help resolve these challenges, improve reliability, and optimise system architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Assess current implementation of NATS and its interaction with Kubernetes.

Identify root causes of instability and performance issues.

Design and implement solutions to ensure robust, scalable, and reliable integration between NATS and Kubernetes.

Provide guidance on best practices for managing messaging within Kubernetes environments.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven track record with NATS messaging system in production environments.

Strong experience with Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, networking, monitoring).

Hands-on expertise in cloud-native architectures and containerised applications.

Solid understanding of distributed systems, messaging patterns, and event-driven architectures.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex systems.
