Java Full Stack Developer (WebMethods) - AWS

Location: Bournemouth
Working: 5 days onsite
Contract: 6 months initially
Rate: £350/day Inside IR35 - maximum
Experience: 5+ years MUST HAVE
Future Opportunity: Potential FTC/FTE conversion

Required Skills

Strong experience in Java Full Stack Development
Expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture
Experience with Front End technologies such as Angular/React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services
Good understanding of webMethods Integration Server Flow Services development and support
Integration design and implementation
Service orchestration and troubleshooting
Experience in file processing, data transformation, and batch processing
Strong SQL and database skills with focus on:
Query optimization
Performance tuning
Data modelling
Experience with Apache Flink, ETL frameworks, or equivalent data processing technologies
Exposure to REST APIs, messaging systems, and event-driven architectures
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and support scalable Java-based applications.
Build and maintain cloud-native solutions on AWS.
Develop and support integrations using webMethods Flow Services.
Perform file-based data processing and system integrations.
Optimize database queries and application performance.
Develop and maintain ETL/data-processing solutions using Flink or similar technologies.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise solutions.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide performance improvements.

Preferred Skills

Kafka or other messaging platforms
Kubernetes and Docker
Banking/Financial Services domain experience
Observability and monitoring tools
API security and authentication frameworks

Mandatory Skills: Java FSD, AWS, webMethods Integration, Flow Services, Database Performance Tuning, File Processing, ETL/Flink.
