Technical Solutions Architect

We are looking for an experienced Technical Solutions Architect to play a key role in shaping and governing technical solutions across projects and programmes. This role will be central to all architectural, design-led, and non-functional decision-making, ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and deliver long-term business value.

You will lead architecture activities across multiple projects, working closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, resolve technical dependencies, and translate needs into options papers, implementation assessments, and solution designs. You will also promote technical innovation and ensure architectural artefacts are developed consistently and reused effectively across the wider programme.

The role includes advising on and contributing to architecture governance, supporting the selection of new technologies, and helping to reduce technical duplication and Legacy complexity. You will act as a technical subject matter expert, providing guidance across delivery teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.

You will be engaged from the earliest stages of delivery, contributing to business cases, non-functional requirements, and procurement activity, including the evaluation and scoring of supplier responses. During design and implementation, you will collaborate with project teams and suppliers to produce and review high-level and low-level designs, along with key architectural artefacts such as context, integration, deployment, and data flow diagrams.

You will also contribute to core project deliverables, including continuity and failover documentation, project planning, and high-level solution presentations tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
