Job Title: UI Architect/Frontend Solution Architect - AEM & AI
Experience: 10-15+ Years
Location: UK (London/Remote)

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced UI Architect and Lead Frontend engineer with strong expertise in modern Front End technologies, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), and AI-powered development tools such as Anthropic Claude and Claude Code.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, high-performance, reusable, and maintainable Front End architectures for enterprise digital platforms. This role requires strong hands-on technical leadership, deep understanding of AEM-based digital experiences, and the ability to leverage Generative AI to accelerate software development, improve engineering productivity, and modernize UI delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. UI Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Define and drive enterprise-wide UI architecture, Front End standards, and best practices.
• Architect scalable Front End solutions using React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Design reusable component libraries, design systems, and micro-Front End architectures.
• Establish best practices for performance optimization, accessibility (WCAG), SEO, security, and responsive design.
• Lead technical design reviews, architecture discussions, and Front End technology evaluations.

2. Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Expertise

• Design and implement Front End architectures integrated with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
• Work with AEM Sites, Core Components, editable templates, client libraries, and content fragments.
• Integrate Front End applications with AEM Content Fragment APIs, GraphQL, and REST services.
• Understand AEM as a Cloud Service, including deployment pipelines, caching, and CDN considerations.
• Establish reusable AEM-compatible UI components and authoring-friendly design patterns.

3. Generative AI & Claude Integration

• Demonstrate practical experience with Anthropic Claude and Claude Code for AI-assisted software engineering.
• Use Claude to accelerate UI development, code generation, refactoring, debugging, and documentation.
• Define AI-assisted engineering workflows across the Front End development life cycle.
• Explore integration of Claude APIs into enterprise applications where relevant.
• Implement effective prompt engineering, context management, and reusable AI development instructions.

4. Engineering Excellence & DevOps

• Define Front End CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms.
• Establish unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies using Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Drive Core Web Vitals improvements, bundle optimization, caching, and rendering strategies.
• Establish Front End code quality, security, and observability standards.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product owners, enterprise architects, and engineering teams.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Front End/UI engineering, including 3+ years in architecture or technical leadership roles.
• Strong hands-on experience in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern Front End architectures.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale digital solutions using Adobe Experience Manager.
• Experience designing reusable UI components and integrating Front End applications with AEM.
• Practical experience using Claude or Claude Code for software development and engineering productivity.
• Strong understanding of Front End performance, accessibility, security, and scalability.
• Ability to communicate architectural decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience leading distributed engineering teams and driving technical standards.

Preferred/Good-to-Have Skills

• Understanding of cloud-native architectures on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience defining AI adoption strategies for engineering teams.

A hands-on UI Architect who combines strong Front End engineering expertise, enterprise AEM architecture knowledge, and practical Claude AI experience.

The candidate should be comfortable defining architectural strategy while actively contributing to solution design, reviewing code, creating proofs of concept, and guiding engineering teams toward modern, AI-enabled software delivery.
