Location: Knaresborough, North Yorkshire
Salary: £26,000 p/a
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an IT Technician to join a well-established organisation due to an internal promotion. This role offers a varied and hands-on position supporting the day-to-day operation of the company’s IT systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Check that overnight Actisure batch jobs have run without error, resolve any minor issues and escalating major ones.

• Ensure all scheduled tasks are completed.

• Be first point of call for IT support requests, resolving minor issues and escalating major ones.

• Ensure hardware and software is up to date across the network.

• Maintain the Windows domain, including Active Directory and Group Policy, ensuring it is in line with IT policies.

• Assist in the installation, configuration and integration of new hardware, software and externally provided services.

• Ensure IT policies are followed in all tasks.

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar IT support or technician role

• Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, and general networking

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks

• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
