About the role

As a Data Quality Lead, you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to establish and maintain ongoing capabilities for managing the quality of investment data at USSIM.

This senior role is critical in driving data-related strategies that support USSIM’s strategic objectives.

What you will be doing

The successful candidate will lead data quality initiatives and support the USSIM Head of Data Oversight on all data quality matters across the investment business.

The key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the development and implementation of a comprehensive data quality plan aligned with USSIM’s data strategy, goals, and risks.
• Establishing data quality metrics and monitoring processes to oversee investment data quality.
• Supporting Business Data Owners and Data Stewards in implementing and overseeing data quality measures.
• Analyzing large datasets to assess quality, identify trends, and target areas for improvement.
• Prioritizing data quality improvements in collaboration with the business, operational risk, key projects, and the Data Strategy Programme.
• Acting as a key advisor and team player in the strategic data programme, supporting the implementation of new technologies and embedding best practices.
• Drafting the Data Quality Framework and managing its rollout in conjunction with the Head of Data Governance.
• Communicating issues, risks, achievements, and future plans through reports and updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Working with market data vendors to oversee control environments.
• Ensuring best practices in data quality are embedded in data projects.
• Collaborating closely with the Head of Data Governance and Data Architect to achieve shared objectives.

About you

• Experience in Investment Management with a strong understanding of investment data.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for large data sets.
• Experience managing operational teams focused on controls and data quality processes.
• Experience with data quality tools and enterprise data platforms.
• Good knowledge of data architecture, governance, and management best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with data quality systems, advanced Excel, PowerBI, and similar tools.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, practical, and team-oriented.
• Experience with large data programmes/projects is desirable.
