ICT Integration Developer

Job summary

  • To be responsible for the allocating problems within the team to meet the service levels of the team.
  • To be responsible for the analysing and correcting queries with regards patient demographic information
  • You will manage tasks and activities which may require adjustments to priorities to satisfy business needs.
  • To be responsible for regression testing of development work handed overs by other members of the team
  • To be responsible for reporting any issues found when testing development. work to the relevant person, team, or supplier.
  • To be responsible for the implementation into the production environments ofnew developments which have passed regression testing.
  • Work within defined deadlines as part of a team and on an individual basis.ensuring assigned work is effectively project managed.
  • To arrange meetings and manage the Software Development Team calendars as necessary
  • Utilises available personal resources complemented by advanced keyboard skills
  • Accurately utilises available personal resources ensuring appropriate software packages are used when performing computer related tasks.
  • Communication with Users/Clients to clarify the nature of operational issues such that they are better understood and processed effectively within the team.

Main duties of the job

  • will assist in the successful implementation of policy changes, changes in legislation & new reporting processes within the EPR applications being maintained
  • Takes responsibility for the expensive IT equipment and software installation and its maintenance.
  • Ensures physical resources are maintained appropriately.
  • Takes responsibility for the security of physical resources held by the role.
  • Ensures the role owner and team utilises physical resources in line with the instructions of the resource.
  • Promotes the best use and care of physical resources throughout the Trust.
  • Works with Integration and Software Development Team to understand team Finance.
  • Delivers IT training both within the team and external to the team across the Trust and the local community in conjunction with the IM&T Strategy
  • Delegates work to some team members.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the operational system production environments and ensures that version control is fully implemented.

Job responsibilities

  • Adopts a best practice approach from the changes made within team.
  • systems promoting and training on those changes where appropriate.
  • Configuration maintenance of the Production environments for the
  • applications being maintained to a standard that ensures a consistent high level of service. For example, reference tables, user profiles, workstation accounts, user accounts, system rights, training packages etc.
  • Assist with the acceptance testing new versions of software and development.
  • changes released for implementation into the Production environment.
  • Works on own initiative to achieve agreed set objectives under the supervision of the ICT Application Integration Manager

Qualifications

Essential
  • Educated to Degree in a computer related discipline, or equivalent work experience
Desirable
  • IT related qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience

Essential
  • Experience of working with ICT showing experience of systems, support and development
  • Experience of diagnostic and fault resolution across a mixed computing environment
  • Experience of task management support, process mapping and design
  • Experience of working and liaising with Third Party suppliers
  • NHS healthcare experience
  • Knowledge of ITIL including best practices such as Change Management and Incident Management
  • Knowledge of the Service Desk function.
  • Ability to Communicate at all levels.
  • Work across organisational and professional boundaries.
  • Organise self to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Establish credibility with a wide range of clinical staff and managers.
  • Work to deadlines, prioritise multiple tasks and manage in a busy climate.
  • Analyse, interpret complex data and report in a variety of different styles
  • Troubleshoot technical faults including hardware / software peripherals.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills, including active listening and understanding
