An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Obstetric Ultrasound Team as an Imaging Department Assistant

The successful applicant is required to provide a supportive role to the Obstetric Ultrasound team ensuring the delivery of an efficient and effective service. You will work as part of the team to give the best quality of service by assisting sonographers, midwives and medical staff by carrying out clinical assistance tasks and non-clinical tasks within the obstetric ultrasound service

Main duties of the job

A caring, co-operative and flexible approach to working practices is required whilst maintaining a professional attitude for the dignity and well-being of the patient. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required with experience of direct patient care desirable but not essential.Confidentiality is vitally important and basic computer knowledge/skills are essential along with the ability to work as part of a team.

The Obstetric Ultrasound Department currently provides a 6 day service, (working towards a 7 day service), with hours between 8.30 am and 7pm across both Royal Stoke, County Hospital and multiple community units. - for this reason it is essential that the post holder has access to a car and a full driving license.

Qualifications

Essential
  • Minimum 5 GCSE's including English and Maths at Grade C or above
