Band 4 eRostering Support Officer
Job summary
The role purpose is primarily to provide first line support to all users of the electronic rostering systems, including Managers and Employees, providing support, advice and information with regard to the administration of the system. Responding to and resolving problems and escalating where appropriate to the eRostering System Administrators and/or Manager, running user training sessions, and engaging with users via email, telephone, video call and face to face.
The ideal candidate will be motivated, possess good communication skills, have a logical mind and good eye for detail, possess good IT skills, have a thirst for knowledge and self development.

Whilst the role is mainly office hours (Mon-Fri -- 0800-1600) you should exhibit a willingness to work flexibly across the week which may include some weekends or bank holidays. The Team work a hybrid pattern working at home and on site each week. UHB is a multi site organisation and therefore the successful candidate would be expected to work across all sites as required.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- *Good General Education (eg. GCSE English and Maths A-C GCSE LEVEL 9-4
- *Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an Administrative environment plus specialist functional knowledge in order to deal with non-routine issues such as problem solving for area of work.
Experience
- *Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems, the majority of which are non-routine.
- *Customer service experience
- *Experience of working in an Administrative role with a proven track record of problem solving
- *Good Organisational skills
- *Able to use own initiative and deal with the unpredictable
- *Able to work under pressure and to multi-task
- *Able to work to tight deadlines.
- *Good understanding of the Data Protection Act and how it applies to staff records and information
- *Understand confidentiality and apply the principles in everyday working practice
- *Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of equality and diversity
- *Experience of working in a busy environment
- *Experience of working in Healthcare
- *Experience of electronic roster type systems.
- *An understanding of NHS pay and conditions of employment for all staff groups.
- *Understanding the principles of effective rostering .
- *Working knowledge of ESR.
