Clinical Systems Support Lead
Job summary
This is a key support post within the Clinical Systems Team. The post holder will be responsible for assisting the EPR Workflow Lead specifically in relation to supporting those systems under the remit of the Clinical Systems Team.

Main duties of the job
- Management and creation of EPR accounts and related applicationsManagement of appropriate Data Collection WorkbooksProviding a support service to users of systems
- Provide Line management and support to the EPR System Support Analysts
- Providing timely and accurate access to systems
- Developing and maintaining key documentation to support processes
- Support cascade training
- General system administration duties
- Provide basic management cover for other ICT systems
- Help to support 24/7 services within the Trusts working independently on-call

Job description
Job responsibilities
- To provide a comprehensive support service to users of the systems managed.
- Liaise with external users of the systems managed, providing support and advice as required, liaising with third party providers where appropriate.
- Responsible for completing supplier design documentation e.g., Data Collection Workbooks to a high degree of accuracy.
- To assist in the development of policies and procedures in relation to the systems managed.
- To undertake periodic audits of data e.g., to ensure compliance with the NHS Data Manual. This will include (but will not relate exclusively) to master files.
- Undertake testing of new releases
- Create and manage accounts for new users.
- Deactivate accounts and user access for leavers

Qualifications
- oEducated to degree level or equivalent experience oIT Qualification (HNC) or equivalent through experience/knowledge
Experience
- oExperience of a variety of NHS applications
- oExperience of change management oExperience of system management of a major Trust system oExperience of working in an acute NHS environment oExperience of a variety of computer applications oKnowledge of EMIS system and functionality
Knowledge
- oPossess an understanding of data protection and confidentiality oKnowledge and awareness of Information Governance and Data Protection - including but not exclusive The Caldicott Guardian
- oKnowledge of service desk functionality and use oKnowledge of back-end applications within Cerner Millennium
Skills
- oExcellent attention to detail oAbility to communicate complex issues effectively at any level oExperienced and competent PC user with good working knowledge of MS Office oAbility to interpret policy into operational procedures and processes oGood time management and organisational skills oAbility to work in a dynamic environment and deliver to deadlines oSelf-motivated, with drive and initiative
