ePMA & Pharmacy Information Analyst

Job summary

We are seeking a person who is passionate about data to join our Pharmacy team, to deliver high quality information analyses.

As a Pharmacy Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting data-driven decision-making using information from our existing and upcoming electronic prescribing and medicines administration (ePMA) and other Pharmacy systems within our organisation. You will work closely with healthcare professionals and managers to extract, analyse and interpret data, providing valuable insights to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Main duties of the job

  • Delivers high quality analysis services

  • Responsible for the provision of accurate and timely ad hoc and routine reports

  • Responsible for provision of dashboarding to meet service needs

  • Ensures that data from Pharmacy systems is extracted in a way that allows meaningful secondary uses

  • Acts as the Pharmacy contact for Freedom of Information Requests

  • Able to work on own initiative, organising and prioritising workload

Knowledge, training, Experience

Essential
  • Educated to a degree level in a relevant subject (Information Science, Statistics) or equivalent experience in analytics.
  • Experience of working in an informatics environment
  • Evidence of knowledge or training to expert level in analytical software such as SQL server, Power BI, or Microsoft Excel

Communication and relationship

Essential
  • Ability to provide complex information in a format that is easy to understand
  • Clear & effective communication style both verbal and written
  • Ability to understand and interpret user's information requirements
