An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Group Digital Division as Lead Digital Trainer in the Digital Training and Engagement Team.
We have recently developed a groupwide Digital Service providing digital services training and education of systems across University Hospitals of Northamptonshire; Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust ,Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the University Hospitals of Leicester.
Working together as a hospital group provides us with exciting opportunities to deliver benefits over and above what we could achieve as individual organisations and our approach to "do once for both" as set out in our Group Digital Strategy. Main duties of the job

Using your specialist knowledge to provide efficient, integrated and customer focused training to all staff, delivering excellent customer service, supporting team to ensure that services provided across the group are and continue to be effective, meet the clinical and business needs of the Group, and represent best value for money.

Support the delivery of the overarching training framework and content for the training strategy and successful delivery of this in in conjunction with the digital training team.

Using your specialist knowledge, proposal of the individual training approach for each project, sign off by key stakeholders, delivery and review through reflective sessions post go live,

Demonstrable evidence of continuous improvement to training provision, recommending and implementing improvements to training plans.

Delivery of 'Business as Usual' training plans, carrying out regular reviews to ensure training is 'fit for purpose' and meeting the needs of the diverse range of clinicians

Job responsibilities

Advise clinical and admin users on the most effective, safe and efficient use of the Clinical Applications available.

Support the Digital Training and Engagement Manager with the allocation of resources within the team as required

Provide training advice regarding Clinical Applications.

Support Training and Engagement Manager in ensuring training booking systems processes are up to date.
-
Provide the content for the training prospectus within your area of responsibility and ensure training courses are publicised.

Plan flexible training delivery methods to meet the users varying needs and time constraints.

Understand thoroughly the current clinical information systems and the processes involved in their use across the Trust and adapt this knowledge to learning replacement and new systems introduced.

Develop training materials, user manuals and guidance notes for Trust information systems

Person Specification
Training and Education
- Educated to post-graduate degree level education or equivalent level or equivalent experience delivering training services
- Recognised learning and development qualification
- Demonstrable understanding of clinical workflows relevant to EPR in NHS setting
- Evidence of continuous personal and professional development.
Experience
- Must demonstrate experience in course development, planning and delivery, contributing to the success of a multi-disciplinary team as effective team member, contributing to the development of policies and procedures and of developing and executing testing plans.
- Experience of digital/IT clinical systems change/project management while also developing and maintaining high standards of quality.
- Demonstrable experience of leading a team in a training environment (preferably in an NHS environment) and understanding of NHS IT systems and services
Skills
- Ability to perform well under pressure and manage unpredictable workload with conflicting priorities
- Quality focused with an innovative approach and ability to solve complex problems
- Good knowledge and training technique delivery.
- Must have a methodical, disciplined approach to working practices
- Have knowledge of and be able to communicate effectively on complex operational requirements for training delivery (e.g. performance monitoring etc).
- Ability to undertake duties effectively and to time in line with legislation, policies and procedures
- High level of proficiency in the use of IT tools, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Advanced keyboard skills
- Must be familiar with hospital environment and the role of EPR Systems in the clinical and business operation of the Trust
