Installation Engineer – Nationwide Travel (Ideally based North London) UK-Manufactured, Intelligent Parking Solutions Company£35,000–£40,000 + Solo Install Bonus | Permanent | 40 hrsCompany Vehicle, Fuel Card, 25 Days Holiday (+BH), Pension, Life Assurance, Healthcare, Full Product Training The Installation Engineer Opportunity We’re supporting a market leader in intelligent parking solutions as they expand their Installation Engineer team. This role suits a hands-on, multi-skilled engineer with strong practical installation experience, good electrical and cabling understanding, confidence with IP-based devices, and the ability to build and commission full systems on customer sites.The company designs and manufactures their own parking technology in the UK, including:
- Ticket kiosks and payment terminals
- Barrier and access control systems
- AI-driven ANPR/CCTV camera technology
- Embedded PCs, printers, touchscreens and industrial switches
- Install, mount and commission complete parking and access control systems
- Lead installation and upgrade projects across customer sites nationwide
- Build full systems including kiosks, barriers, ANPR cameras, PCs, printers and switches
- Configure software, update firmware and complete full system commissioning
- Terminate, test and route cabling neatly and safely
- Conduct site surveys, full system testing, validation and customer demonstrations
- Work independently, managing your own installation schedule and site preparation
- Deliver a professional, customer-focused service at all times
- CCTV / ANPR cameras
- Access control or security systems
- Ticket kiosks / payment machines
- Car park equipment or automation systems
- Networking / IP-based devices / servers
- Intercom systems
- EPOS or PC-based hardware systems
- Strong ability to configure IP-based devices and diagnose connectivity issues
- Confident working with hardware, cabling, low-voltage systems and power supplies
- Able to commission software-driven systems and configure system settings
- Comfortable using diagnostic tools, system interfaces and remote support platforms
- Able to read wiring diagrams, schematics and technical documentation
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first approach
- Comfortable travelling nationwide and staying away up to 2-3 nights per week (accommodation and food provided)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience installing or commissioning hardware-based systems
- Strong understanding of networking and smart device configuration
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- Strong written and verbal English
- Electrical qualifications (ECS card, 18th Edition, PAT testing, C&G Electrical Diploma etc.)
- Networking qualifications (CompTIA, Cisco, HND in Computing etc.)
