IT Support Apprentice
As an IT Support Executive, you'll provide first and second-line technical support, helping colleagues use systems and tools effectively. Working with the IT Manager and Development team, you'll support infrastructure, system rollouts and software projects. Ideal for a tech-focused problem-solver keen to develop their career.
Role
At Vanaways, we're continually building and improving our own internal software systems to streamline business processes, automate manual tasks and enhance the customer journey.
As part of the IT team, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside our Software Developers, gaining exposure to real software projects.
Depending on your interests and skills, you may become involved in areas such as:
- Software testing and quality assurance
- Identifying bugs and assisting with troubleshooting
- Gathering requirements from internal departments
- System implementation and user training
- API integrations and automation
- SQL databases and reporting
- Power Automate and workflow automation
- Internal web applications and business systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first and second-line IT support to colleagues across the business.
- Configure, deploy and maintain Windows devices and mobile technology.
- Support Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune and Autopilot.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and connectivity issues.
- Manage user accounts, security settings and endpoint protection.
- Support telephony, printers and meeting room technology.
- Maintain IT assets, documentation and system records.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
- Support system upgrades, software deployments and IT improvement projects.
- Promote security, data protection and compliance best practices.
Training
For candidates with an interest in programming or software engineering, this role offers a genuine opportunity to develop those skills.
