IT Service Desk Engineer IT Service Desk Engineer - Belfast (Hybrid) Temporary Opportunity with Potential to Become Permanent 25-35k pa depending on experience VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a highly respected organisation in Belfast to recruit an experienced IT Service Desk Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious IT professional to join a busy and supportive technology team, providing a mixture of remote and face-to-face support across a diverse technical environment. The successful IT Service Desk Engineer will play a key role in delivering high-quality 1st and 2nd line support, resolving technical issues, supporting end users, and contributing to ongoing IT projects. This role offers a hybrid working model, excellent exposure to modern technologies, and the potential to secure a permanent position. The Role As an IT Service Desk Engineer, you will: Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to end users Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues Support users both remotely and on-site Manage and maintain user accounts through Active Directory Deploy and support devices using Microsoft Intune and SCCM Assist with Microsoft 365 administration and support Configure laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals Escalate complex issues where required while maintaining ownership of incidents Contribute to IT projects, upgrades, and system improvements Ensure tickets are managed effectively and resolved within agreed service levels What We're Looking For To be considered for this IT Service Desk Engineer opportunity, you should have: Previous experience in a Service Desk, Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or IT Service Desk Engineer role Strong 1st and 2nd line support experience Excellent troubleshooting skills across hardware and software environments Experience supporting Microsoft technologies including: Active Directory Microsoft 365 SCCM Intune Windows 10/11 Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Desirable Previous MSP experience Exposure to networking fundamentals Experience supporting cloud-based environments Why Apply Through VANRATH?
