Network Engineer

My client is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement and support advanced network and security solutions for a wide range of enterprise customers. You'll act as a subject matter expert across Cisco and Fortinet technologies, ensuring secure, reliable and high-quality service delivery.

This is a hybrid working role – 3 days a week in office (Belfast City Centre)

The client also has a similar Senior Network Engineer role open based in Craigavon.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support network and security solutions (LAN/WAN/WLAN/SASE/Data Centre).
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers.
• Review solution designs and ensure best practice and compliance.
• Optimise network performance and deliver high-quality documentation.
• Collaborate with vendors, partners, and internal teams.
• Engage with customer stakeholders and provide clear technical communication.
• Maintain and pursue relevant certifications.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Cisco CCNP/CCSP or equivalent practical experience.
• Fortinet certification (FCA/FCP/FCCS/FCX) or equivalent experience.
• Strong expertise in WAN technologies, firewalls, IPS, SASE, ZTNA, LAN/Wi-Fi, and data centre networking (Cisco ACI).
• Experience supporting enterprise or government customers (4+ years).
• Excellent documentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
