Sales Director
This is a rare opportunity to step into a true builder role at a high-growth business operating at the intersection of energy, data, and SaaS .
Backed by investment and entering a critical scale phase, the business sells long-term, high-value enterprise contracts into complex, asset-heavy customer environments. The technology is proven, the market opportunity is clear, and ambition is high - what’s needed now is a senior commercial leader to shape and scale the revenue engine.
You won’t be inheriting a polished sales function. You’ll be designing it.
The Role
As Sales Director you will partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to define and deliver the company’s long-term revenue strategy. You’ll own enterprise sales end-to-end - from shaping the go-to-market approach and building pipeline, to leading complex, strategic deals through to close.
This is a role for someone equally comfortable setting strategy in the boardroom and driving momentum in live enterprise deals . You’ll bring structure where it’s needed, clarity where it’s evolving, and pace where the opportunity demands it.
The role is hybrid , ideally based in Northern Ireland , with travel as required to support enterprise customers and partners.
What You’ll Be Building
In the first phase, your focus will be on creating a repeatable, scalable enterprise sales motion . You’ll bring discipline to forecasting, qualification, and deal governance, while helping the business clearly define its target verticals, ideal customer profiles, and value propositions.
Alongside direct sales, you’ll help unlock growth through partnerships and ecosystem-led opportunities , working closely with technology partners, data specialists, and delivery teams to win and expand long-term contracts.
As traction grows, you’ll shape the commercial organisation itself — defining team structure, incentives, and ways of working that support sustainable, long-term revenue rather than short-term wins.
Who This Role Is For
This role suits a senior commercial leader who still wants to build something meaningful .
You’ll bring around 10+ years of senior B2B sales leadership experience , with a strong track record in SaaS or data-led platforms , ideally within energy, utilities, infrastructure, or other asset-heavy sectors. You’ve sold mission-critical platforms before — not transactional software — and you’re comfortable navigating long sales cycles, complex buying committees, and enterprise procurement environments.
You’ve personally led and closed large enterprise deals (£10m–£45m+) , and you know how to turn strategic conversations into long-term contractual relationships. Just as importantly, you’ve helped scale sales functions that were still evolving — introducing structure, rigour, and predictability without killing momentum or culture.
How You Lead
You’re a collaborative leader who knows how to align sales with product, data, and delivery teams. You’ve built and led enterprise sales teams before, and you understand how to design roles, responsibilities, and incentives that support long-term value creation.
You thrive in investment-backed, high-growth environments , are comfortable with ambiguity, and can balance big-picture thinking with hands-on execution. You bring executive presence, credibility with senior stakeholders, and the energy to drive meaningful change.
What’s on Offer
- Senior-level compensation aligned to impact and delivery
- A likely 12-month build phase to establish structure and prove traction, followed by aggressive scale
- Hybrid working with preference for candidates based in Northern Ireland
In Short
This is a transformational commercial leadership role for someone who wants ownership, impact, and the challenge of building a world-class enterprise sales engine from the ground up.
If you’re motivated by scale, complexity, and long-term value - rather than quick wins - this role will give you the platform to make a lasting mark.
