Senior Full Stack Engineer An established global financial technology organisation is expanding its engineering function in Belfast and is looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join the team. This is an opportunity for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to work on a next-generation technology platform, partnering closely with a leading global cloud provider and working alongside highly experienced engineers, architects and technical specialists. With significant investment being made in its technology capabilities, the business is developing a new-generation platform and continuing to expand its engineering teams. The Belfast engineering function forms part of a wider global technology team, developing highly scalable and low-latency services used across the organisation. About You You'll be an experienced Full Stack, Front End or Backend Engineer with strong TypeScript experience and a genuine interest in designing and delivering scalable, high-quality software. Experience across some of the following would be beneficial: TypeScript, JavaScript, React and modern front-end frameworks Backend development using TypeScript, Java, C# or another object-oriented language REST APIs, GraphQL and WebSockets AWS and modern cloud platforms Microservices and event-driven architectures SQL and NoSQL databases Unit, integration and end-to-end testing Terraform and containerisation technologies CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices Git and Agile methodologies Beyond the technical skills, you'll be someone who enjoys tackling complex engineering challenges, contributing ideas and helping to improve the way teams build software. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor less experienced engineers, share knowledge and contribute to the wider technical direction of the team. What You'll Be Doing Design, build, test and deploy robust, scalable software solutions Contribute to continuous improvements across engineering practices and processes Collaborate with architects, technical leads and engineers across the wider team Take part in architectural and technical design discussions Help modernise and refactor existing systems towards the target architecture Develop scalable and reusable services across the platform Champion quality engineering practices throughout the software development lifecycle Support and mentor junior and developing engineers Contribute to a collaborative culture focused on technical excellence and continuous improvement The team owns and operates its services through to production, so there may occasionally be a requirement to support production incidents outside of standard working hours.
