IT / Telecoms Engineer Apprentice

Role

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support (1st & 2nd Line)

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support for voice and data products, including telephony and broadband/connectivity services
  • Diagnose and resolve client-reported faults across hosted voice and broadband connections
  • Log, track, and escalate cases as required, maintaining clear and accurate documentation throughout

Voice Provisioning:

  • Provision of the tenant
  • Place number port requests
  • Base configuration: create generic users, programme DDI numbers, and set up up to 3 hunt groups
  • Host the project kick-off call with the client (remote only)
  • Configure named users, including creating user names
  • Programme IVRs and call queues/groups

Broadband Provisioning:

  • Manage end-to-end provisioning of broadband orders, from order placement through to service activation
  • Liaise with carriers/suppliers to track install dates and resolve provisioning issues
  • Keep internal systems and clients updated on order progress

Training

  • Velocity apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team
  • Using their expert knowledge, they will provide the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace and to expand future career prospects
  • Throughout the apprenticeship, learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their programme
  • The role offers long-term security and the opportunity to progress into a permanent position
