Cyber Resilience Consultant

A growing, forward-thinking technology services provider is seeking a Cyber Resilience Consultant to play a key role in shaping and evolving its cyber security solutions portfolio.

This is a strategic, client-facing position offering the opportunity to influence both technical direction and commercial delivery. You will work closely with senior leadership, customers, and internal engineering teams to design and deliver innovative, market-leading cyber resilience solutions.

The Role

As a Cyber Resilience Consultant, you will collaborate with Board-level stakeholders to help shape and refine the organisation’s Cyber Strategy, enhancing protection, detection, response, and recovery capabilities across a diverse client base.

You will engage directly with customers to understand business risk, resilience requirements, and growth plans, designing tailored solutions across cloud, networking, cyber security, and managed services. Acting as a technical authority, you will support presales activity, ensure technical feasibility and compliance, and help translate complex concepts into clear commercial value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape and contribute to cyber strategy in partnership with senior leadership
  • Design secure, scalable, and commercially viable cyber resilience solutions
  • Support the sales function during presales, including technical presentations and demonstrations
  • Ensure solutions align with industry standards, compliance requirements, and best practice
  • Identify delivery risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Stay ahead of emerging cyber threats, technologies, and market trends
  • Provide technical leadership and champion secure-by-design principles
  • Mentor and support Cyber Resilience Engineers

About You

You will bring a strong blend of technical expertise, commercial awareness, and client engagement experience.

Key experience includes:

  • Modern security frameworks such as Zero Trust and identity-driven security
  • Microsoft 365 and Entra ID in secure, identity-centric environments
  • Azure security and cloud resilience, including secure architectures and DevOps governance
  • Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies
  • Secure network architecture, including firewalls and segmentation
  • Familiarity with Microsoft licensing models including CSP, SPLA, M365, OEM, and Enterprise

You will also demonstrate:

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to design tailored, cost-effective IT solutions aligned to business goals
  • Clear communication skills, translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Strategic thinking and a results-driven approach to problem solving

Experience and Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a senior cyber security role such as Senior Security Engineer, Security Consultant, Cyber Architect, or vCISO
  • Experience designing and governing vulnerability management programmes
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, Azure Fundamentals, CISSP or CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, SABSA, or similar
