About the role

A growing London-based FinTech is hiring a Junior Developer to join a small, product-focused engineering team working on a payments and account management platform used by UK and European customers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates or early-career developers to get hands-on experience building features that impact real users, while learning from experienced engineers in a supportive, collaborative environment.

What you’ll be doing
  • Contributing to features and improvements in a JavaScript and Python-based codebase
  • Supporting the development of REST APIs for customer onboarding, transactions, and reporting
  • Helping fix bugs and improve performance in existing services
  • Participating in code reviews and learning the team’s testing and deployment processes
  • Collaborating with product managers and designers during sprint planning
What we’re looking for
  • Recent graduate or early-career developer with project, internship, or coursework experience in software development
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript or Python (through projects, internships, or coursework)
  • Familiarity with Git and working in a team-based development workflow
  • Curious, motivated, and keen to learn professional software development practices
  • Comfortable asking questions and receiving feedback
Nice to have
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
  • Experience working with SQL databases
  • Interest in FinTech, payments, or regulated systems
