They're now looking for an Engineering Team Lead to build and lead a high-performing, healthy engineering team from their London (Moorgate) office, 2 days a week.
The Role
This isn't a "manage from a distance" job. You'll stay genuinely hands-on while your real impact comes through your people, building a team so strong it doesn't need you in the room to succeed. Expect to:
- Coach, mentor, and give the kind of honest feedback that actually helps people grow
- Own your team's quarterly delivery and hold the bar on quality and accountability
- Tackle underperformance head-on and fight your team's corner at calibration and promotion
- Partner closely with Product, QA, and Technical Leaders to shape strategy and execution
- Spot risk before it becomes a problem, and clear the path for your team to do great work
- Stay technically sharp, guiding engineers at the code level when it counts
What You'll Bring
- A proven track record leading and delivering complex engineering projects
- Real experience managing or mentoring engineers; hiring, developing, and having the tough conversations when needed
- Strong commercial experience with C# & .NET
- Solid grounding in modern software practice and cloud-based, scalable architecture
- A customer-first, commercially savvy, data-informed approach to decisions
- Comfort managing cross-team dependencies across Product, QA, and beyond
