Reporting Finance Manager

Milton Keynes (Hybrid) | Up to £90,000 + Benefits

Great decisions start with great insight — and this business wants someone who can turn complex data into the stories that drive them.

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-known, fast-paced consumer brand with a huge digital footprint and a genuine appetite for modern reporting and analytics. Their finance function is on a mission to move away from spreadsheet-heavy reporting and towards intuitive, self-service dashboards — and they need a Reporting Finance Manager to lead that transformation.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a commercially sharp finance professional who loves getting into the detail of performance data, but who can also step back and tell the bigger story to senior stakeholders. You'll sit right at the intersection of Finance, Commercial and Business Intelligence, owning the reporting and forecasting that shapes how leadership understands the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading weekly, period-end and trading performance reporting across the business
  • Owning the sales budgeting and forecasting process, partnering with stakeholders to keep forecasts sharp and commercially relevant
  • Producing insight-led performance packs covering sales, trade, traffic and key commercial KPIs
  • Building and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards that give the business real self-service visibility
  • Using SQL to extract, interrogate and analyse large datasets to support reporting and insight generation
  • Driving the shift from static, spreadsheet-led reporting to dynamic, dashboard-driven performance management
  • Analysing campaign and promotional activity, evaluating ROI and commercial impact
  • Supporting interim and full-year reporting with high-quality analysis and commentary
  • Spotting trends, risks and opportunities, and turning them into clear recommendations
  • Acting as the go-to person for sales reporting and performance queries across the business
  • Leading, coaching and developing a Reporting Finance Analyst as they build their BI and dashboarding skills
  • Championing automation, continuous improvement and the smart use of emerging AI tools in reporting

What You'll Bring

  • A recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with solid post-qualified experience in Reporting, Commercial Finance or FP&A
  • Strong track record in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills and real confidence working with large, complex datasets
  • Strong Power BI experience — building dashboards from scratch and designing for self-service
  • Hands-on SQL skills for extracting and manipulating data from large datasets/data warehouses
  • An eye for intuitive, insight-first dashboard and data visualisation design
  • The ability to turn complex numbers into a compelling, actionable narrative for senior audiences
  • Confident stakeholder management, with experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Experience partnering with commercial teams (Sales, Marketing or Revenue) to turn data into action
  • Some people management or coaching experience, and a genuine interest in developing others
  • Curiosity about AI and emerging technology and how it can sharpen reporting effectiveness
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and juggling competing priorities

Why Apply

  • High-profile role with genuine exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making
  • Lead a real transformation project — reshaping how performance is measured and understood
  • Work across Finance, Commercial and BI in a genuinely collaborative environment
  • Room to grow your leadership, technical and commercial skillset
  • Hybrid working with flexibility built in
  • Competitive salary up to £90,000 plus benefits

This is a rare chance to join a household-name consumer business at a pivotal moment for its finance and reporting capability. If you're ready to lead the move from spreadsheets to smart, insight-led dashboards — we want to hear from you.
