We're partnering with an ambitious, high-growth technology business that has scaled rapidly over the last few years and is now entering an exciting new phase of its journey. As the finance function continues to evolve, they're looking for an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to strengthen the team during a period of significant expansion and help prepare the business for a major confidential milestone anticipated within the next 12 months.

This is an initial 6-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension for the right person.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in ensuring the business maintains robust financial controls, delivers accurate reporting, and supports strategic finance initiatives during an exciting period of transformation.

• Prepare monthly management accounts and statutory reporting.
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Support the production of statutory accounts and external audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls.
• Assist with cash flow reporting and forecasting.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to improve financial processes and reporting.
• Support finance projects linked to business growth and wider strategic initiatives.
• Help prepare the finance function for a significant corporate milestone expected over the coming year.

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to thrive in a changing, high-growth environment.

You'll likely have:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience in a Financial Accountant or similar technical accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP; IFRS exposure would be advantageous.
• Excellent month-end, statutory reporting and reconciliation experience.
• Previous experience working within a high-growth, technology, SaaS or digital business would be highly desirable.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience using modern finance systems.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
• The confidence to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across the business.
