We are seeking a Senior Project Manager – Business Systems Transformation to lead major technology and operational change programmes for a large UK operational business investing heavily in its systems, platforms, and infrastructure.
This is a high-impact opportunity to lead large-scale transformation projects that improve efficiency, performance, and operational visibility across multiple sites. You will work closely with engineering, operational, and leadership teams to ensure new systems deliver real results in live environments.

The Opportunity
As Senior Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of major business systems and transformation programmes from initial concept through to implementation and adoption.
You will:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise business systems and operational transformation projects
- Manage complex programmes from planning through to go-live and post-implementation support
- Coordinate internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and implementation partners
- Work closely with engineering and operational teams to ensure systems function effectively in real-world environments
- Translate operational requirements into practical technology and process solutions
- Support system implementation, commissioning, and early-life operational support
- Prepare operational teams for system changes and ensure smooth transition to business-as-usual ownership
- Manage significant project budgets, resources, and delivery timelines
- Maintain strong governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement throughout delivery
About You
You will be an experienced project leader with a track record of delivering large-scale business systems or technology transformation programmes.
You will likely bring:
- Significant experience delivering enterprise systems or major transformation projects
- Experience implementing business platforms such as ERP, finance, commercial, data, or operational systems
- Strong programme and stakeholder management experience across multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience working in operational or complex environments such as engineering, logistics, utilities, manufacturing, or similar sectors
- The ability to translate operational needs into practical systems and process improvements
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and operational leadership teams
Desirable Experience
The following would be beneficial but are not essential:
- Project management certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, or MSP
- Experience working in operational or industrial environments
- Exposure to multi-site or multi-entity organisations
- Understanding of health and safety or regulated operational environments
