Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of mechatronics engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical and software, to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Develop and implement engineering best practices, processes, and standards to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and create development plans for team members.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and incorporate new technologies and methodologies into the engineering processes.
- Manage resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling to optimise team performance and project outcomes.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field. Master's degree is an advantage.
- Proven experience in an engineering management role, with a track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects.
- Strong technical background with expertise in Collaborative Robot (Cobot) Solutions and industrial automation.
- Experience in mechanical, electrical and software development, incl. use of 3D CAD tools and programming languages.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools is preferred.
