2nd Line Support Engineer – Krakow, Poland – 12-Month Contract
We’re partnering with a major international organisation that’s seeking a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their Infrastructure & Operations function. You’ll be supporting End User Computing and desktop technologies across the business, ensuring colleagues have a smooth and reliable digital working environment.
This position is based on-site in Krakow, and requires business-level Polish as well as the right to work in Poland.
As the work will be completed in Poland IR35 doesn’t apply but we will need to work with you to understand the applicable tax depending on your personal situation.

What you’ll be doing
- Handling device build and deployment, including maintaining standard images and preparing equipment for users.
- Providing 2nd line support for escalations from the 1st line team and coordinating with external partners when needed.
- Managing change, incident, request, and problem tickets, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Keeping technical documentation, procedures, and configuration records current and well-maintained.
- Installing operating systems and software in line with incoming workload.
- Using ServiceNow as the primary ITSM tool.
- Overseeing local hardware inventory and stock control.
- Working closely with colleagues across the Digital Workplace area to resolve issues efficiently.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance services and implementing improvements once approved.
- Supporting printer environments (Papercut, Ricoh Streamline, Lexmark).
- Providing assistance with meeting room technology, including Smart Hub devices.
- Offering occasional support to other European offices, with rare travel to major hubs.
- Collaborating with third-party suppliers and working alongside the Digital Employee Experience Lead.
What you’ll bring
- 2–3 years’ experience in a large-scale corporate IT environment.
- Strong capability in hardware diagnostics and repairs (CompTIA A+ beneficial).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune for device management and security.
- Ability to configure and deploy corporate mobile devices using MDM platforms (Intune preferred).
- Understanding of printer management tools such as Papercut, Ricoh Streamline, or Lexmark.
- A collaborative approach and confidence working with internal teams and external vendors.
