VIQU are partnering with a leading financial services organisation undergoing a significant data transformation, building out a modern data product capability to drive business insight, efficiency, and innovation. They are seeking a Data Product Manager to take ownership of key data products, shaping roadmaps and ensuring the successful delivery of high-value data assets across the business. This is a pivotal role focused on driving execution, adoption, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Data Product Manager:

  • Own and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data products, ensuring alignment with wider business and data strategy
  • Define, maintain, and deliver product roadmaps that prioritise business value and user needs
  • Manage and prioritise the product backlog, balancing new feature delivery with technical debt and scalability requirements
  • Act as the key interface between business stakeholders, data engineering, analytics, and delivery teams
  • Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable product features and acceptance criteria
  • Ensure data products meet governance, compliance, security, and data quality standards
  • Monitor product performance and user feedback, driving continuous improvement and iteration
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional delivery squads to ensure timely and effective product delivery

Key Experience Required of the Data Product Manager:

  • Proven experience in Data Product Management or Product Ownership within data-driven environments
  • Strong background within insurance (non-negotiable)
  • Experience working with cloud data platforms (ideally Azure) and tools such as Databricks
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and product lifecycle management
  • Demonstrable experience managing product backlogs, prioritisation, and roadmap delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
  • Experience working closely with data engineering and analytics teams to deliver scalable data solutions
  • Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and data quality principles
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
