Desktop Support/Deployment Engineer - Nottinghamshire

VIQU are working with a leading Financial Services organisation embarking on the final phase of a Windows 11 deployment project across several local branches. We’re looking for a hands-on Desktop Support / Deployment Engineer to assist with imaging, configuration, and rollout of both desktops and laptops, ensuring a smooth transition for end users.

This role involves working onsite five days per week, supporting the deployment of desktops pre-loaded with legacy banking software, as well as assisting with around 200 laptops that require the same configuration.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure Windows 11 desktop PCs and laptops across multiple branch locations
• Support the rollout of legacy banking software using a pre-built deployment image
• Carry out device builds and deployments via Intune and SCCM
• Perform BitLocker configuration, import Edge bookmarks, and support user handovers
• Tag and record all deployed assets accurately
• Provide onsite user support, ensuring smooth adoption of Windows 11
• Troubleshoot issues and escalate where necessary

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Deployment Engineer or Desktop Support Engineer on large-scale Windows 10/11 rollouts
• Hands-on experience with Intune, SCCM, and imaging/deployment tools
• Strong knowledge of Windows 11 administration and troubleshooting
• Background in End User Compute (EUC) environments
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and support non-technical users
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel between local sites
