IT Support Engineer – 6 month contract

Overview

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a busy and fast-paced IT team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in end-user support, device provisioning, onboarding/offboarding processes, and user administration within a Microsoft environment.

We're particularly interested in IT Support Engineers who have hands-on experience managing Joiners, Leavers and Movers (JLM/JML) processes, building and configuring devices, and supporting users throughout their lifecycle. The successful candidate will have a blend of technical support, device management, user administration and customer-facing experience within a modern Microsoft environment.

IT Support Engineer key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to end users across the business.
  • Build, configure and deploy laptops, desktops and mobile devices.
  • Manage Joiners, Leavers and Movers (JLM/JML) processes.
  • Create, modify and remove user accounts and permissions.
  • Administer Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID user profiles.
  • Support password resets, access requests and permission management.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and application issues.
  • Provide deskside and remote support to users.
  • Maintain accurate asset and inventory records.
  • Escalate complex issues where required while maintaining ownership through to resolution.
  • Support device imaging, deployments and refresh projects when required.
  • Assist with documentation and continuous improvement of support processes.

IT Support Engineer essential Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in an IT Support, Desktop Support, Service Desk or Technical Support role.
  • Strong experience supporting Windows desktop environments.
  • Hands-on experience building and configuring end-user devices.
  • Experience managing Joiners, Leavers and Movers (JLM/JML) processes.
  • Active Directory administration experience.
  • Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD administration experience.
  • User account creation, access management and permissions administration.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The IT Support Engineer it is required to work full-time onsite 5 days per week in London.
