VIQU has partnered with a leading professional services organisation seeking two experienced Weekend Infrastructure Engineers to provide 3rd line infrastructure support across a critical backend environment. These roles focus on ensuring the availability, performance, and security of core systems, while supporting ongoing improvements, automation, and operational excellence within a fast-paced and collaborative global team.

Key Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Provide 3rd line operational support, ensuring servers and infrastructure remain stable, secure, and high-performing.
  • Monitor, manage, and proactively optimise Windows Server environments.
  • Support and maintain Active Directory and Entra ID services.
  • Oversee and support VMware virtualisation platforms.
  • Manage SAN storage environments, ensuring reliable and efficient data storage.
  • Deliver support for Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Develop and implement automation using PowerShell and APIs to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and support major incident resolution where required.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes, including change control and security compliance.
  • Create and maintain clear and accurate technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with global teams and third-party vendors to resolve complex infrastructure issues.

Key Requirements of the Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Strong experience supporting Windows Server (2016–2022) environments.
  • Proven experience with Active Directory and familiarity with Entra ID.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware and virtualised infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting SAN storage solutions (e.g. Dell EMC, HPE, vSAN).
  • Strong scripting and automation skills, particularly in PowerShell.
  • Experience supporting Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols.
  • Experience working within ITIL-aligned environments and structured change processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to work a weekend-focused shift pattern (Friday to Monday).
