Our client is seeking an experienced M365 Engineer to provide ongoing support, administration, and enhancement of their Microsoft 365 estate while contributing to a wider business transformation programme. This role will combine day-to-day operational responsibility for the M365 environment with the opportunity to support the delivery of strategic initiatives designed to modernise collaboration, productivity, governance, and user experience across the organisation.

The successful M365 Engineer will work closely with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and third-party partners to ensure the Microsoft 365 platform remains secure, compliant, and aligned to evolving business requirements. Alongside BAU activities, the role will play an important part in driving continuous improvement and supporting the organisation's long-term digital workplace strategy.

M365 Engineer Essential Experience:
  • Strong hands-on experience supporting and administering Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Proven experience designing, configuring, and maintaining core M365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture, security, and best-practice design principles.
  • Previous experience delivering Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migration projects.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining governance, compliance, and security controls within M365.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and third-party service providers.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across the Microsoft 365 technology stack.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical documentation skills.
M365 Engineer Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide BAU support, administration, and ongoing maintenance of the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Monitor platform performance, security, and service health, ensuring a stable and reliable user experience.
  • Manage and optimise Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
  • Support the delivery of strategic transformation initiatives across the Microsoft 365 platform.
  • Establish and maintain governance, compliance, and security standards in line with organisational requirements.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver enhancements and technical projects.
  • Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, processes, and support procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and subject matter expertise to support ongoing platform development and adoption.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to maximise value from Microsoft 365 investments.

The M365 Engineer will be required to work 1-2 days a week onsite in London city centre.
