Messaging Specialist
Messaging Specialist– 6-month contract – London/Remote – SC Cleared
My customer is seeking an experienced Messaging Specialist to join a technically complex environment, responsible for supporting, enhancing, and evolving enterprise messaging services. The role focuses on Exchange Hybrid and Exchange Online, delivering change while maintaining service stability and ensuring secure, reliable email services across the organisation.
Skills and Experience of the Messaging Specialist:
- Must have SC clearance or recently lapsed SC Clearance
- Must have extensive experience managing and supporting Microsoft Exchange environments (Hybrid and Online), including implementing and delivering service changes
- Must have hands-on experience with Secure Email Gateways (SEGs), particularly in the support of secure messaging and email encryption solutions
- Must have strong background in operating high-security messaging platforms within complex enterprise network infrastructures
- Must have well-developed PowerShell scripting skills to support automation, administration, and operational efficiency
Desirable Experience of the Messaging Specialist:
- Secure Email Gateway platforms such as Mimecast and Clearswift
- Email infrastructure and authentication technologies, including MX records, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
- Secure email and encryption technologies, including PGP, TLS, and PME
- Experience with cloud-based fax services
- Email journaling and archiving solutions, including Enterprise Vault
Key Responsibilities of the Messaging Specialist:
- Support, administer and deliver changes across Exchange Hybrid and Exchange Online environments
- Manage and support secure enterprise messaging solutions, including email security gateways and encryption technologies
- Troubleshoot complex messaging issues across a varied and highly secure estate
- Handle multiple workstreams simultaneously, balancing changing priorities and tight deadlines
- Produce clear, concise technical and user-facing documentation
- Share knowledge and mentor first- and second-line teams to improve overall capability
- Work closely with stakeholders to communicate progress, risks and technical concepts effectively
The Messaging Specialist is required onsite, 2 days per week in Central London.
