Network Engineer

Network Engineer – 6-month contract – London/Remote

My Customer is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support a major AV upgrade project as our client transitions to a Microsoft Teams Rooms environment. This role will be critical in ensuring that all meeting spaces are upgraded, integrated, and supported to a high standard, while establishing a robust global network design to underpin future AV rollouts.

The Network Engineer can work fully remote with potential ad hoc travel to London when required.

Network Engineer Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in LAN/WAN networking and VLAN configuration for AV meeting room setups.
  • Previous experience with AV/UC solutions (ideally Microsoft Teams Rooms).
  • Experience supporting AV rollouts across multiple locations.
  • Familiarity with global monitoring tools (Symphony or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking (routing & switching), firewalls, and WAN technologies.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds NPM/NTA and Cisco Prime.
  • Knowledge of Fortinet, Aruba, HPE, Palo Alto (Panorama), and Cisco Nexus.
  • Law firm industry experience would be beneficial
  • Any experience working with SD-Wan products would be useful
  • Potential Out of hour work on a rota basis
  • Potential global travel

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup VLANs to optimise LAN performance and stability for AV solutions.
  • Create a scalable network design framework that can be implemented globally across all sites.
  • Ensure all AV room upgrades and rollouts meet a high, consistent standard.
  • Provide technical support for the onboarding of Teams Room upgrades.
  • Contribute to High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation to support implementation.
  • Assist with the deployment of a global network monitoring and management tool (Symphony).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AV specialists, IT, and global stakeholders, to ensure smooth integration.
