Project Manager

Project Manager – 3 Month Contract – Manchester (Hybrid) – Outside IR35

VIQU have partnered with an NHS client seeking a Project Manager to support delivery of a new Data Platform Programme.

The role:

The successful Project Manager will support early-stage delivery of a new data platform.

This role will focus on shaping delivery activity, preparing for procurement, coordinating architectural and requirements work, and supporting the move toward the new platform. You will work with in-house specialists, a technical BA/data analyst and procurement teams to define requirements, high-level architecture and migration considerations before engaging a supplier to deliver the solution.

You will not be expected to produce deep technical designs, but must have strong appreciation of data platforms, data flows, migration approaches and NHS data environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead delivery of data platform workstreams from discovery to early implementation.
• Produce and maintain project plans, RAID logs, and governance documentation.
• Coordinate internal data specialists, architects, technical teams, and external suppliers.
• Drive requirements gathering, high-level architecture definition and procurement preparation.
• Support development of specifications to take to tender.
• Manage risks, dependencies, budgets, and reporting across the programme.
• Work alongside an in-house technical BA/data analyst supporting architectural and requirements activity.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong track record delivering NHS digital or data platform projects, ideally in an acute trust.
• Understanding of data architecture principles, multi-dataset environments and large-scale migration considerations.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms.
• Ability to coordinate technical and non-technical stakeholders, including research teams and clinical areas.
• Strong governance, supplier management and procurement awareness.
• Experience with research data, analytics environments or integration with EPR systems desirable.

Role Details:

• Job Title: Project Manager
• Contract: 3 months initial (with strong likelihood of extension)
• Day Rate: £400–£500 per day
• Location: Hybrid – Manchester (approx. 2 days on site)
• IR35: Outside
