OT Project Manager – 6-month contract – Manchester/remote

My Utility Customer is looking for an experienced OT Project Manager to join a major cyber resilience and operational technology programme. This is a hands-on role that combines project delivery expertise with strong knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) environments and cyber security frameworks.

Required Experience from the OT Project Manager:

  • Proven experience delivering projects within Operational Technology (OT) environments.
  • Experience delivering cyber security, resilience, infrastructure, or critical national infrastructure projects.
  • Strong project management background with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of cyber security frameworks and resilience standards within regulated industries.
  • Experience within the Utilities industry would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent documentation skills, including the production of governance and project delivery artefacts.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with risk management, compliance, and audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities of the OT Project Manager:

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of OT and cyber resilience projects across a complex operational environment.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on OT environments, cyber resilience, and security best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Produce and maintain high-quality project documentation, including project initiation documents, project plans, solution design documentation, risk registers, issue logs, and stakeholder communications.
  • Assist with the preparation and management of compliance evidence required for cyber assurance frameworks
  • Ensure all project artefacts comply with internal governance standards, audit requirements, and regulatory expectations.
  • Coordinate technical delivery activities between internal teams, suppliers, and third-party vendors.
  • Support business change initiatives, including process improvement, impact assessments, user engagement, training, and awareness activities.
