Senior Business Analyst – Enterprise Data Transformation London (Hybrid) Competitive Salary– 6-Month FTC

VIQU has partnered with a leading international law firm to recruit a Senior Business Analyst to drive delivery across a major global enterprise data transformation programme. This is a high-impact opportunity to contribute to a multi-year initiative centred around building and optimising a new enterprise data platform in Azure, transforming the way data is managed and leveraged across global operations.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Business Analyst:

  • Lead business analysis for large-scale, global data transformation and Azure data platform delivery programmes.
  • Gather, document, and validate business, data, and functional requirements across multiple regions, working closely with finance teams where much of the data originates.
  • Collaborate with project teams and vendors on initiatives including data migration, integration, and consolidation (ServiceNow, Copilot, iManage, or similar).
  • Support delivery of the Azure-based enterprise data platform, ensuring effective use of Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and related technologies.
  • Map, analyse, and streamline business and data processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and data quality.
  • Manage backlogs, change requests, and dependencies using structured governance frameworks.
  • Support programme planning, reporting, and risk management (RAIDDs).
  • Ensure requirements are clearly defined and accurately translated into scalable, enterprise-wide solutions.

Key Requirements of the Senior Business Analyst:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst on enterprise-scale data transformation or data platform delivery projects.
  • Strong understanding of Azure data environments – ideally exposure to Azure Data Lake, Databricks, data modelling, data governance, and migration projects.
  • Experience working with finance data and stakeholders, with the ability to interpret business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders globally.
  • Analytical, structured, and detail-oriented approach to documentation, delivery, and governance.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments, driving progress proactively and independently.
  • Experience in the legal, professional services, or financial sector preferred but not essential.
