Senior (RTGS) DevOps engineer

Senior DevOps Engineer - SC Cleared - Hybrid - Inside IR35

My client a leading finance organisation require a Senior DevOps Engineer to join RTGS team who are solely responsible for this critical platform. Within this role you will join a forward thinking team who are supporting a critical system and combining with current practises within the DevOps space! 

As a Senior DevOps engineer you will aid in: 

• Supporting, maintaining and developing changes to my clients solution
• Work with the solution team/designers regarding roadmaps and end to end capabilities
• Educating all with regards to skills/knowledge needed across the domain and works with team leaders to develop the domain wide training plan so the right skills are available to deliver new services.
• Support / maintain the tool chain and wider estate
• Provide out-of-hours support in a 24/7 operational environment

Experience

Strong experience supporting production systems (to include oncall)

• Proven experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift (on-premise)
• Full suite of DevOps tooling upgrades, issues and improvements
• IAC using Terraform, CI/CD pipelines
• Proven track record of building and improving automation-first DevOps environments
• Experience with observability tools (Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Linux administration skills in a high availability production environment
• Strong experience with incident management and service recovery
• Solid understanding of Agile delivery and DevOps principles
